This was our 40th Anniversary and we started our married life honeymooning in Gatlinburg. The motel is still there "Twin Islands." We used to live in Knoxville, TN and now in Chattanooga and we visit the mountains several times during the year. We took our vacation last year and went to Dollywood and stayed at Red Fox Inn. Bear View is perfect for a weekend getaway.Nice location,just a short drive and you are in downtown Gatlinburg,just far enough out of town to enjoy the beauty of the mountians.We come to the Gatlingburg area about four times a year. I have booked with Colonial Properties for the last two years. The staff is top notch,the rentals are always the right fit.From our family vacations with with ten of us to the weekend getaways for me and my wife.I am sure I will be coming back to the Gatlinburg area and I am sure I will be staying with Colonial Properties.
