We were in town for a convention and were going to get hotel rooms. However, opted to get a cabin and split the cost. This worked out wonderful. The rental was exactly like the photos. I loved the decor. Everyone raved on the wonderful mattresses. It felt like I was at home in my own bed. The other couples liked the mattresses so much, they pulled the sheets down to find out what brand they were so they could purchase one themselves. We generally stay the week of Thanksgiving, but couldn't believe this rate just by coming the week before. The cleanliness of the unit was great. We enjoy the hot tub at night, sitting on the porch in the early morning. I only wish the fireplace had been wood-burning; I'm told that's hard to find these days; everyone is going to gas logs! We enjoy looking at the National Park and Cades Cove, and the holiday lights in the evenings. We also come to cook for each other and really don't dine out. Its a chance for our family to share recipes and conversation. This was our first time booking with Colonial and really enjoyed the experience! We brought our 2 adult children and their spouses and this cabin was perfect. There were three levels, each having their own bedroom and bathroom, giving us plenty of space to have some privacy but yet have a wonderful vacation together. Very conveniently located 3 miles from Pigeon Forge, with a great back street that would get you around the main drag traffic if you so desired, and yes ladies, will easily "dump" you out at the outlet malls without any problem!!! We have been to Pigeon Forge and the Gatlinburg area many times, but I can say without hesitation this was the most memorable and enjoyable, due to our cozy accommodations. The staff at the office was so pleasant and made the check-in process so easy. Will definitely return for Memorial Day and will want to stay in the same cabin!!! Our group will be back in May we will rent the cabin again we will reserve it early .If we have more people come this time we will rent a bigger cabin but it will be with Colonial properties that is for sure . It will definitely not be our last stay at Spa Hideaway. We absolutely love this cabin and actually don't ever want to leave once we get there. We love the gourmet kitchen and have enjoyed some incredible meals there that we cook ourselves. We end up saving money because we don't go to restaurants. The fireplaces both upstairs and downstairs are wonderful. The steam spa shower is absolutely phenomenal and this cabin just feels like you are home. I don't feel like I'm somewhere commercial. All of the extra touches are just outstanding. Excellent quality tvs and appliances. The decor is so eclectic, but I don't think I would change a thing. The colors are very warm. The cabins are always very well represented online. I don't even check other rental companies. I enjoy returning to the familiar and getting top notch customer service. I recently left 2 items in the unit and called. The items were recovered and held for me until my husband was able to pick them up. I was so grateful. Everyone I spoke with was just great. It has been a tradition now for the past 6 years. We have always stayed in a motel, which is very crowded for a family of 7. This is our first year to rent a cabin/lodge from Colonial Properties. We rented the "Wandering Bear Lodge". We loved it!!! There was so much room!! and the privacy was perfect. It was clean and decorated very nicely. It was like being at home. I would definitly rent a cabin/lodge again from Colonial Properties. The staff is excellent. Scott, at the check-in desk, makes you feel right at home. I asked him lots of questions and he was very knowlegable, courteous, and very friendly. Nothing compares to this type of experience when you are vacationing away from home. James King - Ripley, UT   The location was excellent, We loved the peace and tranquility, the view from the decks was incredible especially after it just rained. We loved how close it was to the things in town but at the same time how it was secluded at the same time. The rooms were clean and very neat, everything was very tidy.
