Spanning over 520,000 acres, the Great Smoky Mountains is America’s most visited national park. Over 9,000,000 people visit the Smokies each year. Hiking and fishing are popular activities inside the national park and you may even see bear, deer, elk and other wildlife while visiting. Outside the park boundaries, in East Tennessee, you will find Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. Gatlinburg is known as the gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains. This quaint village town is nestled just outside the park and offers many outdoor activities, shopping, winter skiing, nightlife and much more. Action packed Pigeon Forge is filled with go-cart tracks, putt putt golf, restaurants, theaters and other family activities that will surely put a smile on everyone’s face. Pigeon Forge is also home to Dollywood, a wonderful amusement park owned by famous country music singer Dolly Parton. In Sevierville, vacationing guests will enjoy world class shopping, dining, attractions, theaters and so much more. This bustling town is the home of Five Oaks Mall, Bass Pro Shops and Belk department store.
