5. Hit the Slopes in Winter, Hit the River in Summer

Tennessee has one ski resort, and Gatlinburg’s got it. Ober Mountain features skiing, snowboarding, and much more, all just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. It’s open all year round, too, with amusement park rides, mini-golf, a wildlife encounter, and of course good eats.
