Looking for something different for lunch, or a special spot for dinner in Pigeon Forge? Check out these award-winning restaurants!

1. Elvira’s Cafe

Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat Across America 2022

Buckwheat crepes wrap savory and sweet fillings at this cafe combining “Southern fixings with a touch of Russian flavor.” Elvira visited the Smokies as an exchange student from Russia and returned to build two businesses before opening this cafe as her love letter to local food.

Crepes cradle fruit, eggs, or lunchtime turkey or veggies. Breakfast on fluffy biscuits, hotcakes, and omelets. At lunch, dive into burgers, Reubens or cheesesteaks, and an unusual fried green tomato BLT. Dinner (served Friday and Saturday) features daily specials and you’ll also find pork chops, chicken and waffles, and more.

Sunday brunch serves breakfast and lunch while adding seafood dishes. You can’t miss Elvira’s. Look for the inviting porch with great views of the Smokies.

2. Local Goat

TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice “Best of the Best” Awards 2021

TripAdvisor named Local Goat a top 10 “Everyday Eats” award winner. This Sevierville eatery prepares everything from scratch daily.

Dine on entree salads like Tavern Salad with marinated steak, or the Southern salad, crowned with fried chicken. Jumbo wings come with homemade glazes including Tennessee whiskey glaze. Steaks, seafood, and pastas feature on the menu.

Dig into classic burgers or try the bison burger, the oh-so-Southern pimento cheeseburger or the Elvis burger topped with the King’s favorites–peanut butter, bacon, and bananas. The bar specializes in local craft beers and wines, and even the art on the walls is by local artists.

3. The Old Mill Restaurant

Food and Wine Magazine’s “Best Classic Restaurants in Every State” 2020

What makes The Old Mill “classic”? The setting, in a historic mill with beautiful river views, is certainly classic. The food is American comfort food–pot roast, chicken pot pie, meatloaf, or trout fresh from mountain streams. And that’s just dinner. Lunch adds salads, sandwiches and burgers, and vegetable entrees.

Food and Wine noted breakfast is “excellent,” so come for cinnamon raisin pecan French toast, pancakes, or hearty egg combos. Never had grits? The Old Mill is the place to try this creamy corn specialty. These grits are ground here in the 200-year-old mill!
