About the Gatlinburg Christmas Parade

The annual Gatlinburg Christmas parade will be held on December 6th. The Gatlinburg Christmas Parade is the official kickoff of Winter Magic in Gatlinburg and is the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit.

The Gatlinburg Christmas Parade is a free event and a great time for the entire family. The Gatlinburg Christmas Parade consists of balloons, float, local performers, marching bands and even a visit from Mr. Claus himself!

The Gatlinburg Parade route begins at the Baskins Creek By-Pass and travels the entire downtown Gatlinburg Parkway ending at traffic light #10.

We recommend arriving early and bring lawn chairs, or if you prefer, you can stand. Make sure to in warm clothing and consider bringing blankets with you.

Approximately one hour before and after the parade, the entire Gatlinburg Parkway will be closed. Be sure to remember this if you’re traveling to Gatlinburg on December 6th.
