Fall in the Smoky Mountains

We have had a slow turning of Autumn color this year. Due to the lack of rain and intense heat, we have not seen the usual changing happening. There are plenty of lovely trees to be seen though! Especially up in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We hope everyone is enjoying their October so far and getting lots of photos! The beauty of the leaves can be seen painted across the countryside as you drive through the Smokies. In places like Cades Cove, rustic cabins are frames by oranges, reds and yellows while the golden fields blow in a gentle breeze. If you venture up higher, towards Clingmans Dome or Newfound Gap you'll see more fallen leaves as Fall happens sooner in the higher elevations. We have even had our first snow of this season several days ago up in the high elevations of the Smokies. We hope you've enjoyed this autumn season and that you'll keep coming back year after year to see more!! Save
