Little Pigeon River

The Little Pigeon River is one of Tennessee's most sought-after trout fishing streams, with the chances of catching rainbow trout and wild brook trout. Smallmouth bass, rock bass, catfish and carp are popular as well. The river splits in to three forks in the Sevierville area, and the West Fork of the Pigeon River travels through Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg just before going into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Fishing is allowed just about anywhere along this river. Book a Smoky Mountain Cabin Rental located right on the Little Pigeon River today!

Douglas Lake

Douglas Lake sits on just about 30,400 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains, with nearly 550 miles of shoreline fed by two rivers, the French Broad and the Nolichucky. It is a fisherman’s dream and one of the most popular crappie and largemouth bass fisheries in the area, according to the TVA. Other fish you might catch include catfish, sauger, walleye, bluegill, blue cat, drum, shad, white bass and sunfish. One of the best ways to enjoy the fishing in the Douglas Lake is to rent one of our many vacation cabins located along the lake!

Tennessee Fishing Licenses

A current Tennessee fishing license is required to fish in Tennessee. Licenses are available online through the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency website as well as convenience stores and various other retailers across the state. If you are staying at a Vacation Rental with private access to the water, no fishing license is required.
