Getting Around Town on the Pigeon Forge Trolley

Published Aug 20, 2021

“Park your cares and ride with the bears!” That’s the motto of Pigeon Forge’s Trolleys. These colorful rides carry you to the best attractions, shopping, and dining so you don’t end up driving all over town. Here’s what you need to know.

Where Do I Catch the Trolley?

The Trolley Station is in the Old Mill District on Old Mill Drive, near traffic light No. 7 on the Parkway. (Along the Parkway, Pigeon Forge’s main street, directions are always based on which stoplight is closest to your destination!)

Where Do I Park My Car?

Parking, usually at Patriot Park, is limited because of construction. You can park for free in two city lots, the River Lot (between The Island and the LeConte Center) and the Mountain Lot (on Jake Thomas Road, near The Ripken Experience). The city provides free shuttles from the River Lot to the station. If you park in the Mountain Lot, you’re within walking distance to a nearby stop and can catch the Trolley from there.

When Can I Ride?

Trolley hours vary by season. From mid-March through October, you can ride between 8:30 a.m. and midnight. From November until mid-March, the Trolley runs from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Trolleys don’t run on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, or Christmas Day.

How Much Does the Pigeon Forge Trolley Cost?

You purchase a ticket each time you board the Trolley. Each ride is just $1.00 except for the trip to Dollywood, which costs $2.50. Children age 3 and under ride for free. You can get an all-day pass for $3.00 by visiting the Pigeon Forge Trolley Office.

Where Does the Trolley Go?

The Pigeon Forge Trolley makes more than 200 stops along five routes, which all begin and end at the Trolley Station. The routes run along North Parkway, along South Parkway, to Dollywood, to the Gatlinburg Welcome Center, and along Wears Valley Road.

Is the Trolley Wheelchair Accessible?

Yes! All Trolleys have wheelchair lifts and you can access a lift from any Trolley stop. Bring the whole family to Pigeon Forge--no one needs to stay behind when you use the accessible Trolley.

Stay at a convenient Pigeon Forge vacation cabin and plan to take the Trolley. The time you save by not driving is more time to spend enjoying our friendly town!
