Gatlinburg is a one-of-a-kind city nestled snugly inside the Smoky Mountains. There’s a lot to see and do here that you simply can’t experience anywhere else. So after you’ve booked your stay in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, pull out your trip planner and markdown these must-see locations.

1. HILLBILLY GOLF

Putt putt golf is fun for the whole family, and Gatlinburg puts a distinctly Southern take on the game. This tongue-in-cheek mini golf course is your one opportunity to put a golf ball over a tractor and into a moonshine barrel.

2. OLE SMOKY MOONSHINE HOLLER

Ole Smoky Moonshine Holler is a must-visit destination in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Ole Smoky is the most visited distillery in the United States. The Ole Smoky experience is unlike any other. Visitors can take a tour of the facility, learn about the history of moonshine, and see how Ole Smoky moonshine is made.

3. GATLINBURG SKYLIFT

The SkyLift is the South’s premiere chair lift. Soar slowly and comfortably over the Smoky Mountains and don’t worry about scrambling for your camera, because your photo will be automatically taken at the top of the lift.

4. GATLINBURG SPACE NEEDLE

The Gatlinburg Space Needle is one of the most popular attractions in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Standing at 400 feet tall, it offers stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Visitors can take an elevator to the top of the Space Needle, where they can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.

5. MYSTERIOUS MANSION

One of the most iconic places to see in Gatlinburg: The Mysterious Mansion. This haunted house has a fully dedicated staff that never break character. Get ready for a spooky good time, but note that the Mysterious Mansion may not be appropriate for children 8 years and younger.

6. FANNIE FARKLES

This amusement center is fresh out of the 1980’s. Play classic-style arcade games and enjoy the multi-colored neon lights. The food is something right out of a county fair. Be prepared to lose track of time in here.

7. ARTS AND CRAFTS COMMUNITY

The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community is set out leisurely over an 8-mile loop that you can walk, run or stroll though. You’ll find everything from watercolors and ceramics to handmade soaps and bed and breakfasts.

8. THE VILLAGE

The Village is Gatlinburg’s quaint shopping villa. There are 27 unique shops here from clothing boutiques to donut shops. The Village provides a day’s worth of shopping, snacks and relaxation.

9. PARTON’S DELI

Parton’s Deli is something of an open secret in Gatlinburg. An old rumor circulating the town is that a distant relative of Dolly Parton owns this deli, but if that’s the truth, they sure don’t advertise it. Parton’s Deli is almost hidden, it’s so easy to miss. But once you find it, you’ll be glad you did, because their sandwiches are to die for.

10. ARROWMONT SCHOOL OF ARTS AND CRAFTS

Arrowmont offers you the chance to unleash your inner artist. Learn to sculpt, paint, draw and more. There’s a little Picasso in all of us, so why not find yours?

11. GATLINBURG SCENIC OVERLOOK

This one is totally free. All you have to do is show up! The Gatlinburg Scenic Overlook is like stepping into a postcard. There’s no better location for a commemorative family photo.
