Is Gatlinburg Worth Visiting?


If you're looking for a fun and unique travel destination, Gatlinburg, Tennessee is definitely worth considering. This charming town is home to some of the best outdoor attractions in the country, and its vibrant downtown district is packed with restaurants, shops, and things to do. Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or an action-packed vacation, Gatlinburg has something for everyone. So is it worth adding to your bucket list? Absolutely!

1. The Smoky Mountains

The Smoky Mountains are some of the most beautiful mountains in the country. Gatlinburg is located right in the middle of them, so you can easily access all sorts of outdoor activities. 2. Ober Gatlinburg

3. The Gatlinburg Space Needle

The Gatlinburg Space Needle is one of the most popular attractions in town. It's a 400-foot tall observation tower that offers 360-degree views of the Smoky Mountains and Gatlinburg. You can also ride an elevator to the top for an even better view.

4. Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies

If you love animals, Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies is a must-visit. They have over 10,000 different animals, including sharks, stingrays, penguins, and more. There are also lots of interactive opportunities, like feedings and behind-the-scenes tours.

5. Gatlinburg SkyLift Park

Gatlinburg SkyLift Park is another great place for incredible views. You can ride a chairlift up to the top of Crockett Mountain or take a stroll across the SkyBridge, which is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America.

6. Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community

The Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community is a collection of over 100 artists and craftsmen. It's the perfect place to find unique gifts or souvenirs. You can also take classes in everything from woodworking to painting.

7. Gatlinburg Trail

The Gatlinburg Trail is a 1.9-mile trail that runs along the river from downtown Gatlinburg to the national park. It's a beautiful and peaceful hike, and it's also a great place to see some wildlife.

8. Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery

Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery is the most popular distillery in Gatlinburg. They offer tours of their facilities, tastings, and even moonshine classes. It's a great place to learn about the history of moonshine and taste some of their unique flavors.
