With a planned opening in spring 2019, Ole Red Gatlinburg will be a $9 million, multi-level 16,000-square-foot entertainment venue with a two-story bar and restaurant, retail area, performance space, dance floor and exterior terrace. Its chef-driven, Blake Shelton-inspired menu will feature a few Nashville classics like Hot Chicken & Waffles as well as BBQ, burgers and additional Southern favorites.

The history of a museum meets the fun of an arcade at the new Gatlinburg Pinball Museum, featuring the largest collection of pinballs & retro games in the Smoky Mountains. After nearly a decade of rave reviews in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show, A Dolly Parton Company, is slated to open in Pigeon Forge in late spring 2019. The dinner show will be the stage for Crimson and Sapphire pirates to battle on deck, in the water and in the sky above their full-sized pirate ships in a 15-foot-deep indoor lagoon.

August Moon Drive-In is a fully immersive indoor drive-in movie experience. Experience a drive-in with a modern twist. The dome will include over 40 classic cars, dozens of full size trees, grass, gravel pathways, a panoramic starry sky overhead, fireflies and a stunning sailor's moon glowing orange and red. It features the largest non-imax movie screen in North America, and will open in 2019.

Drive in the Smoky MountainsFoothills Parkway Extension

The “missing link” of the Foothills Parkway has finally opened to the public. It allows the public to drive the road straight through from Walland to Wears Valley. Plans to extend Foothills Parkway have been underway for some time. The Parkway is a 72 mile long road traversing the western and northern perimeters of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and extends from Interstate 40 east of Cosby to its western terminus in Chilhowee.

Rocky Top Mountain Coaster, on Veteran's Blvd., is the largest coaster of its kind on the east coast. It uses four lifts, four 360 degree turns, tunnels and other exciting passageways.

Construction has begun on The National Enquirer Museum right across from the Titanic Museum. The 18,000 square foot building would have visitors "entering through a camera lens", and features what looks like another building that's fallen on top of it. Among the plans for the attraction is an interactive exhibit that will allow visitors to create their own Enquirer-style headlines and share them on social media.
