Wilderness Wildlife Week offers a variety of programs for all ages and interests. With educational programs designed specifically for the youngsters and guided hikes into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park for the more adventurous folks; what better place to celebrate the features, creatures, and cultures of Great Smoky Mountains National Park than in the center of fun in the Smokies!?!

Many folks visit the Smokies, yet never venture into the true wilderness that is the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Well, no more! Wilderness Wildlife Week is the PERFECT way to tap your inner “outdoor” self and still feel safe & prepared enough to enjoy it! This spring celebration of the great outdoors is free and open to the public. Seminars and workshops are offered daily at the LeConte Center in Pigeon Forge. Workshops vary from beginner to advanced nature photography, fly fishing, native plants & wildflowers, bee keeping, bear safety, logging history, butterfly workshops & too many more to list! With everything from photo contests, exhibits, concerts, guided hikes and expert ‘talks’, you will enjoy learning about our history & mountain culture thru this annual event.
