Catching Fireflies

0 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 6

DESCRIPTION

Catching Fireflies is a cozy one-bedroom, one-bath riverside cabin that promises pure relaxation with soothing mountain views, making it the perfect spot for a couple's getaway or a Smokies holiday for a small family, offering a chance to be surrounded by nature.

LIVING AREA

The whole cabin features modern, uncluttered decor. Lovely, light, and dark wood is everywhere, bringing the outdoors indoors. Sprawl on the contemporary leather sectional sofa, surrounded by windows with a view of the leafy trees outside. Watch the flat-screen TV or plan the day’s outings, thanks to the complimentary WIFI. Go online and reserve tickets for a great Pigeon Forge show, or the world-class aquarium in Gatlinburg!

KITCHEN

The fully equipped kitchen holds everything you need, whether you just want to grab a snack or create a gourmet meal from scratch. You’ll find all the cookware, serving pieces, dinnerware, and utensils to make your vacation easy. Bring your favorite recipes and pick up sweet fixings to make s’mores!

BEDROOM

The full bedroom is neatly tucked away behind sliding doors, located on the main level next to the living area. Overhead, the roomy loft can serve as a bonus sleeping area or a space for kicking back with a favorite book. A flat-screen TV in the loft gives you options for watching sports or movies without disturbing the folks downstairs.

OUTDOOR SPACES

The open deck behind the cabin looks out on a wooded hillside. Cuddle up with your honey on the glider rocker for two. Play board games on the deck’s big table or sit and sip a glass of local fruit wine. Toss steaks, burgers, or veggies onto the gas grill, then serve supper outdoors–the fresh mountain air will give you an appetite!

Gather around the blazing fire pit to tell stories and pick out the constellations at night. Bring your fishing pole and try your luck in the river, then go wading or tubing in the clear, clean water. With the water and woods so close, you might never want to leave your cabin dream!

OTHER AMENITIES

Catching Fireflies provides ample parking. A full-sized washer and dryer combo makes cleanups a snap. Free WiFi helps you get work done, send emails, or plan your Smoky Mountain adventures.

Incredible stay!! This location might be our very favorite ever! Kids loved the loft and that there was a tv in the loft, as well as the HUGE backyard and creek! Wonderful wonderful stay.

Amazing tiny home We were a little hesitant to book a tiny home with a 3 and 2 year old but the layout of the house was perfect for us. We were close enough to the river to walk down and fish/play but also far enough to not worry about our girls going down there alone. We will be book this place again, it was absolutely perfect for what we look for when traveling to the smokies.

Country Oasis Our family of 6 loved our stay in the tiny house! The house was clean, had bowls, plates, dishes, silverware for at least 6. We loved the decor and felt there was plenty of space for all 6 of us. The kids had a blast playing in the river at the back of the property! We loved the proximity the Great Smoky Mountains, Zip lines, rafting, but loved not staying in the commercial mess of Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg. We enjoyed the fire pit and the would absolutely stay again!

So fun Great place to stay with littles. Lots of running space outside and the loft was perfect for us to all sleep together. Washer & dryer was a huge bonus!

Best place to stay! This is a perfect tiny home to be close enough to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, yet far enough to see the blanket of stars while listening to the creek flow by. We are a family of 6 (two adults and 4 small children), and we were surprised how a “tiny home” could be spacious. The kids loved sleeping in the loft and we enjoyed eating as many meals outside as we could. The washer and dryer made it easier to pack lighter and the kitchen was just the right size. The home was very clean. The walk to the creek was about two minutes right out the door and down a small hill. The creek provided hours of entertainment for us. We caught small fish, crawdads, saw a few water snakes. We sat on the rock formations (they said to bring a chair, and we should have listened!) and soaked up the sun and water. The water was so clear and the rock formations were beautiful. There are so many different gems and sparkly stones in the creek that the kids loved finding them all. The pasture behind the home is quite large and would be perfect for flying kites. The central fire pit was well built and had a cooking rack.

What a view!! This property is perfectly located in the mountains with a breathtaking view. The river behind the property was more than enjoyable especially for our kiddos! The location is perfect! Not to close to town but not far either! Would definitely visit here again!!

Idyllic locale My friends and I stayed for about a week in early spring and absolutely loved it. The property itself was extremely clean and easily slept six adults. We also managed to cook several meals, and had enough space to both play boardgames and have video chats in the other room without anyone being disturbed. The property is also extremely well-located, quite close to Knoxville, Gatlinburg, and Smoky Mountains National Park. We particularly enjoyed having the space outdoors to throw a frisbee, roast some marshmallows, hang up our hammocks, and swim in the river (would recommend waiting until summer for this). We had a wonderful time, and I'm certain you will too!
