Chubby Bear is an entertaining two-bedroom cabin for eight guests, offering a private movie theater, sauna, games, and swimming pool access, and located close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge - making it an ideal spot for a fun-filled mountain getaway!
Living Room
The first thing you’ll notice when you stroll into this lovely cabin is how warmly the light comes in through the whole wall of picture windows. The wood ceiling and floor gleam. Settle down on the soft leather sofa or loveseat in front of the stone fireplace. Enjoy a crackling fire while you sip your hot chocolate or Tennessee moonshine, or watch your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV.
This open-plan living and dining area features a modern dining table seating eight on thickly upholstered seats. You’re just steps from the kitchen, so getting meals on the table is fast and easy. Just beyond the dining area is the graceful spiral staircase ascending to the loft overhead.
Kitchen
Stainless steel appliances and brand new countertops make this galley kitchen sparkle. Everything’s laid out so conveniently, you’ll have meals ready in a snap. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the cookware, utensils, and serving pieces you need to make a gourmet dinner or a simple sandwich lunch.
Bedrooms
With two beautiful bedroom suites, a sleeper sofa, and twin bunk beds, Chubby Bear has plenty of room for up to eight guests.
On the main level, a queen bed suite features a fireplace and private en-suite bath. You’ll admire the gorgeous, rustic log bed. A second suite upstairs includes a king bed and access to a guest bath. In the loft area, you will find twin bunk beds great for kids or teens who want their own special space.
Game Rooms
Chubby Bear is the ideal cabin for just hanging out or spending a rainy day indoors! In the roomy loft, the cathedral ceiling and huge windows illuminate your pool table, foosball and air hockey. Take in the views outside or cheer on the players inside.
Downstairs, the in-cabin movie theater invites you to pick one of the six plump, soft, theater-style seats. Relax and fire up the 70” screen. Pop some corn and hold a film festival.
Games mean you’ll never have a dull moment in this cabin. There’s a separate space with a table for four and plenty of board games.
Outdoor Spaces
Step onto the covered deck and slide into an old-fashioned rocking chair, or perch on a stool at the deck’s bar counter, overlooking the trees. You can sit at the counter to work on your computer, drink your local fruit wine or count the birds as they fly past!
While most Smokies cabins include a hot tub, at Chubby Bear, you get a hot tub on the deck and a personal sauna too, for the ultimate in relaxation.
When you’re in the loft game room, you get separate access to a second deck with rocking chairs and a patio table.

Bring your bathing suits and pool toys: As a guest here, you get access to a seasonal pool just half a mile from the cabin.
