The open plan first level soothes you with a simple, elegant, contemporary design. A double-sided, stone fireplace is the living area’s striking centerpiece.
On one side of the fireplace, the main living area invites you to sprawl on the gorgeous cream-colored sofa or loveseat, or on the soft, plush chairs. Watch the flat-screen TV or lounge by the crackling fire. The cathedral ceiling overhead keeps the room cool. On the other side of the fireplace is a second seating area where a pair of deep, comfortable armchairs with ottomans are ready for you to stretch out and snooze in front of the second fireplace. An extra sofa creates a third seating area, too, so there’s no shortage of spots to hang out.
Kitchen and Dining Area
This might be the most charming galley kitchen you’ll ever see in a Smokies cabin. Blue cabinets echo the cabin’s pretty blue exterior. The marble-look countertops, stainless steel appliances, and slate-style floor are fresh and upscale. A convenient bar counter seats up to three guests for chats with the cook, coffee in the morning, or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Like all Colonial Properties cabin kitchens, this one is fully equipped with all the cookware, utensils, and serving and eating dishes you need to cook for a couple or a crowd.
Just steps from the kitchen and next to the open plan living area, the dining table seats six. This modern, glass-topped table with unusual sculptural chairs is an ideal place for laying out a pancake breakfast or playing games and cards.
With its rich, dark wood furnishings and pale blue walls, the main bedroom is your private getaway. The queen bed is topped with a cloud of fluffy bedding. By night, enjoy the bedroom’s big flat-screen TV, and in the morning get ready in the roomy bathroom with double sinks so you and your sweetheart don’t get in each other’s way!
A second sleeping area is in the loft. A romantic, wrought iron queen bed is next to a private seating area with a TV and plush armchair. The second full bathroom features a striking, blue glass “vessel” sink that’s both useful and beautiful.
A queen-sized, pull-out sleeper sofa provides even more space for everyone to get a good night’s sleep.
The large front deck sports a hot tub where you can soak while you listen to the stream rushing past you, yards away. A big couch makes the deck like an outdoor living room where you can read, rest and drink in the clean mountain air. Fire up the gas grill and toss on shrimp, steak, or chicken, then sit at the table for a picnic. Later, bring home local moonshine and drink it under the stars. Try Moon Pie flavored moonshine to wash down a real Moon Pie snack cake--it’s a completely Tennessee treat.

Cabin was just like the pictures. Clean, easy checkin and out, close to everything, and peaceful! Loved our stay and would stay again.
Lovely place to relax by the creek. Place was easy to access by the bypass between pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. House was very clean and comfortable. Would rent again
Close to pigeon forge and gatlinburg, but far enough away that it wasn't busy or load. Creek was beautiful!
The cabin was great, perfect location! Easy access to Gatlinburg area. Plenty of space, clean, great creek view!
Very clean, very well furnished, beautiful scenery all around.
The booking process was very easy and the provided information by Colonial Properties was clear. We booked a weekend at Gervinwold Creekside. A rental for a max of 6 persons, but we just were with the 4 of us. The rental has 2 queen size beds, so whenever you will come with 6 persons, 2 of them will need to sleep on a sleeper sofa. We really liked the location of the rental. Located close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge and not too far off the main road, but still secluded. Next to the rental runs a creek (see picture). The rental was very clean. A hot tub and a BBQ were available too. Checking-in was very easy. The door had a code lock and the number was provided in time. So we could immediately go to the rental without checking in at another location first. The amenities of the rental were good and we have not experienced any shortcomings. The checkout process was also very simple and easy. In conclusion I can say that we had a great stay at this location and whenever I consider to revisit the Smoky Mountains, which almost certainly will be the case, we definitely will start our rental search with Colonial Properties and if available, we definitely will book Gervinwold Creekside again.
This cabin is lovely! Exceptionally clean! Spacious floor plan with great decor! And literally right on the creek! We truly loved it and had an amazing time! Thanks for the memories!
Enjoyed my stay. Convenient to both Gatlinburg and pigeon forge. I mean minutes depending on traffic. Right off the 441 no steep narrow winding roads. Very easy to access. Double fireplace was awesome and the sound from the creek is absolutely therapeutic. Check in and check out easy no hassle. Definitely will stay again. If you don't like the steep winding roads and want a place to stay that's convenient to everything that's still somewhat private. This is ideal!
This place is awesome!
The staff at Colonial Properties is amazing! The property was beautiful, clean, spacious, and looked exactly like the pictures. Ms. Robin helped us beyond securing a beautiful cabin. She answered all of our questions and provided information for nearby places to visit. We enjoyed our time and we look forward to our next visit! Thank you Colonial Properties staff members for all of your hard work and OUTSTANDING service!
Perfect get away in the mountains
I stumbled on this property while looking for a more traditional cabin. During the search, I found Gervinwold Creekside (more contemporary) and couldn’t have been more pleased. Its proximity off the main highway provided privacy yet access to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It had all the amenities, was clean, and the running creek provided a wonderful environment for us to enjoy. We will definitely look for this to be available for our next stay as well as recommend it to others.
Would highly recommend.
Beautiful place and so peaceful. The weather was perfect and we really enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the water rush down the creek. We will definitely be back. Great place to relax and great location!

The hot tub is visible from the road. The house that is seen in the photos is vacant.
What is the check in and check out times?
Check in is after 4 pm and check in is at 11 am.
Is the location bad if it snows or is the road to the cabin not steep
Hi, thanks for the question. We recommend having a four wheel drive car during winter months.
