Description
The Skinner's Cabin is a private and secluded 3-bedroom cabin rental nestled close to Cades Cove, one of the most scenic and beloved areas in the Smoky Mountains, offering gorgeous trail hikes, horseback riding, historic settlements, and nearby wildlife for guests to enjoy during their Smoky Mountain adventure; with comfortable lodging for up to eight guests, perfect for families or groups of friends traveling together.
Living Room
The living room has the feel of a rustic hunting lodge, with wood walls and floor, a stone-trimmed fireplace, and charming deer- and bear-themed decor. Throw yourself on the plush couch or kick back in the comfy rocking chair or the overstuffed easy chair. Watch shows, movies or sports on the flat screen TV. A huge ceiling-height window lets in light and frames the leafy view outside.
Kitchen
Mosaics of forest animals decorate the cabinet doors and bring a smile every time you use this fully equipped kitchen. With stainless steel appliances, a convenient center island for food prep, and plenty of counter space, the kitchen is ready for adventures in cooking. Bring your favorite recipes, or experiment with locally made sauces and marinades and fresh, local produce from the farmer’s market.
Dining Area
Tucked next to big, bright windows, the dining table is perfect for meals and more. Play a board game or cards here. Check your email while you drink coffee or Tennessee fruit wine. Country-style wooden chairs seat four around the beautiful wood table.
Bedrooms
The cabin’s three bedrooms become your family’s personal retreats when it’s time to relax. Choose your favorite among the three queen beds: One is a classic four-poster bed, the second a romantic, old-fashioned bedstead, and the third a modern bed in dark wood. The two baths include one trimmed in barn-style weathered wood, with an elegant stone tile shower.
Don’t miss the bonus sleeping space! This cozy nook high up under the roof holds a pair of pretty, wrought metal twin beds, its own flat screen TV and touches of Southwest-themed decor. Teens and kids will love this hideaway sleeping space hidden above the kitchen!
Outdoor Spaces
Plan to spend time hanging out on the wonderful wrap-around porch, chatting, reading or just listening to the birds in the trees!
Spend a morning on the porch swing with your sweetheart, or in the rocking chair with a good book. Fire up the gas grill and toss on steaks, chicken or shrimp.
