The Best Italian Cafe and Pizzeria

Best Italian Cafe and Pizzeria boasts four decades of experience serving visitors and locals in Gatlinburg at two locations. Best Italian dishes up the classic fare diners want from a traditional Italian restaurant. That means: Come hungry!

THE ORIGINAL FOR 40 YEARS

Best Italian’s home is in Elks Plaza center right on Gatlinburg’s bustling Parkway. Start with mozzarella sticks, meatballs, baked artichoke and crab, fried ravioli, and more. Dig into spaghetti, ravioli, fettuccini, stuffed shells, lasagna, and Italian chicken, beef, and seafood dishes.

Of course, there’s pizza with a New York style thin crust and toppings galore. Try the unusual Brazilian bechamel pizza with white sauce, pesto, chicken, pineapple, and peppers. Calzone lovers, be warned: Calzones here are gigantic. Stuffed with cheeses and your choice of extra ingredients, these calzones are more than one meal.

Don’t miss Best Italian’s legendary garlic rolls, topped with olive oil, fresh garlic, parmesan, and romano cheeses and herbs and spices. Take some back to your cabin for later.

WINGS AND PIZZA AT BEST ITALIAN EXPRESS

One Best Italian is great, but two are even better. Best Italian’s second location, Best Italian Express, also located on the Parkway, focuses on freshly made pizzas and irresistible wings.

Just snacking? Get six wings with one sauce or a dozen with two sauces. For a meal or a big appetite, go for 18 wings with three sauces! Choose from mild, hot, BBQ, garlic parmesan, or sweet chili sauces to slather your wings.

Seek pizza perfection and “build your own” pie with toppings you choose or try one of Best Italian Express’s signature pizzas. You’ll be tempted by pizzas topped with Smoky Mountain BBQ, “kickin’ chicken” with Buffalo sauce, the Black Bear pizza loaded with meats, the Luau with ham, bacon, pineapple, and onions, and more. Crispy salads, cheese bread for dipping in succulent sauce, and those tasty garlic rolls round out the Express menu.

A GATLINBURG TRADITION

Best Italian knows you’re out on the town enjoying Gatlinburg’s attractions, so the hours fit your fun. Both locations are open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and until 10 on Sundays, so you’ve got extra time to come in and taste Italian classics.
